Online Financial Services Research and Advisory Payment Services Discover Financial Services, Inc. announced the introduction of Auto Bill Pay, a free new service that enables Discover Cardmembers to pay multiple bills securely in a single place online. Cardmembers who use this new service to pay bills will earn Cashback Bonus rewards in the process.

The new Discover Card feature is an application created by Yodlee Inc. of Redwood Shores, Calif., the provider of personalized online financial management solutions ( www.yodlee.com ). Secure online Account numbers are made possible by Orbiscom's Controlled Payment technology (www.orbiscom.com ). Credit cards issuers have been encouraging cardmembers to use their cards for recurring bill payments to drive usage and retention. The process of deactivating recurring payments presents cardmembers’ with a higher “switching cost” to begin using a new card product.
